  1. I voted for the tear it down option, aiming for 2022-2024. I really don’t think we have any realistic chance of catching the Astros, and at this point we’re just competing with the rest of the AL (Rays, Angels, Twins, Blue Jays, Athletics) for the 2nd WC spot next year. I’d rather just see us suck for a few years and build what could be a legit contender. Maybe you wait until mid-season, while adding a few smaller pieces over the offseason (Ervin Santana, Pomeranz, etc.) just to see if we can get anywhere. A rebuild is inevitable, with no farm whatsoever, it’s just a matter of when. I really don’t think Dipoto is the right guy to start a rebuild either, I’d rather hire someone like Bloom or someone.
