Here’s how the Mariners’ farm system performed Wednesday:

Tacoma Rainiers (AAA)– Pacific Coast League

No. 10 Jake Fraley, OF (24)
WED: Called up 8.19.2019
2019: .298/.365/.545, 27-2B, 5-3B, 19 HR, 80 RBI, 34 BB, 89 SO, 22 SB

More on Fraley here.

No. 14 Shed Long, 2B/3B/OF (23)
WED: DNP (IL)
2019: .279/.343/.466, 7-2B, 4-3B, 8 HR, 35 RBI, 20 BB, 59 SO

No. 24 Taylor Guilbeau, LHP
WED: called up 8.15.2019
2019: 39 G, 48.2 IP, 40 H, 15 ER, 17 BB, 55 SO

8.2.2019: I was at Guilbeau’s Mariners org debut in Tacoma Friday night and he looked solid, sitting the high end of his velocity range for what I’m told is the third time in a row, dating back to his time in the Nationals organization.

He touched 97 mph with a little armside run, throwing just two fastballs under 95. He complimented the four-seamer with a firm, but above-average changeup — not the slider, although he mixed in a few of those, too — at 87 that induced a couple of whiffs.

Guilbeau has good arm speed and commanded the fastball fairly well in this outing.

No. 37 Tim Lopes, 2B (24) (MLB)
WED: (MLB)
2019: .301/.361/.474, 30-2B, 2-3B, 10 HR, 60 RBI, 36 BB, 70 SO, 26 SB

2019: 123.2 IP, 85 H, 29 ER, 30 BB, 154 SO

More on the club’s top pitching prospect here.

No. 4 Justin Dunn, RHS (23)
WED: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 SO
2019: 123.2 IP, 113 H, 50 ER, 37 BB, 145 SO

Dunn was again good after a so-so outing last time on the mound. He surrendered a solo homer to lead off the sixth on one of the few poorly-located pitches he threw all game and the control was spotty the rest of that inning, but he yielded just the one run.

Dunn has had an above-average slider the majority of the year now and is using the fastball all over the batter’s swing zone.

WED: 6 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 6 SO
2019: 36.1 IP, 29 H, 13 ER, 10 BB, 40 SO

Then was terrific in his first start for West Virginia. He threw 48 of 75 pitches for strikes. He used his low-90s fastball up in the zone, pitched effectively inside to both righties and lefties.

Then’s curveball flashed nasty with terrific armspeed, finish and depth, and he command it well.
.
He was around the zone with the fastball for all six innings, showed an average changeup and repeated his delivery fairly well. There’s athleticism here and therefore a bit more projection than his 6-foot-1, 155-pound listed size suggests.

No. 40 Josias De Los Santos, RHP (19)
WED: DNP
2019: 18 G, 13 GS, 86.2 IP, 86 H, 31 BB, 66 SO
