Update: He's not hurt, he wasn't traded, he's not being promoted, at least not yet, and to the best of my knowledge he was not suspended for any sort of drug or steroid violation.

The reason he is not with High Desert falls somewhere between him being a typical teenager and a team rules violation type thing. I don't know much beyond that, and further details aren't important.
