Seattle Mariners reliever Tom Wilhelmsen’s recovery from a hyper-extended right elbow seems to be progressing well and it’s likely that he’ll be ready to return from the disabled list (DL) in the middle of the month. The end of baseball’s annual Winter Meetings is unofficially marked by the Rule 5 Draft. Each team has an opportunity to pick a player from one of the other 29 teams that isn’t under 40-man roster protection.
