Clement's going to strike out, but not at this rate.

And it sure doesn't help that he and Wlad are being relied on so heavily. Clement's hitting fifth and sixth?

Ultimately that's perfect, but this quickly?

He'll hit. By year's end we'll all be talking about how excited we are about his bat.

Or maybe it's the Yankees or Tigers who'll be excited about his bat.

Can we expect Jeff Clement to look this bad at the plate all year? Striking out at this rate? Or is he just pressing right now?

Could be.

Sure feels better than 87-90.

Scouts guns have seen enough 92s and a few 93s, so... yeah.

Jason -

Great write up on Ramirez, thanks for that.

Also - touching back on Bedard. He seems to be around 90-92 tonight. Encouraging?

I'd say 1-7, it's definitely not a 12-6. It gets a bit slurvy at times, too, but that's normal for a teenager.

His arm slot isn't high enough for an overhand curve.

Colina is interesting but defensively I'm not sure where he fits.

He might have the bat for second, but there isn't nearly enough pop for a corner spot.

But with the defensive questions, his bat's going to be the biggest question mark. His average is a bit empty and while he isn't clueless, he's not a big walks guy at this point.

But he is just 19.

Athletically he's decent, good arm, decent feet, runs pretty well but isn't a base stealer at this stage.

Not a top 20 guy right now, but if he develops enough physically and progresses across the board over the next year or two, he'll fall into the "fringe" category.

As for Pineda, he too is a FB, CB, CH guy, but has some sink on his heater. I haven't seen him but I think it's probably time for a call to Jaime Navarro to talk about these Rattlers' arms.

Nice write up Jason. Just curious what type of curve is Ramirez throwing? Is it a 12 to 6 hammer type, or a more traditional 1 to 7?

Nice write up. Thanks Jason.

With regards to Edilio Jose Colina for the T-Rats, when do we consider what he is doing legit?

Awesome stuff, as usual Jason. I'm REALLY excited about our pitching in the lower minors, and Ramirez looks like the most likely to be on a quick path to the bigs.

You say Pineda has above average stuff. What does he throw? I know absolutely nothing about him. How does he compare to Adcock (who really seems to be stepping forward)?
