No, not a good one.
The Seattle Mariners traded Greg Norton to the Atlanta Braves for a player to be named or cash.
Unless the cash totals enough to cover Vidro’s 2008 contract, it wasn’t worth it.
It’s small potatoes, but another sign that the Mariners don’t really have a clue.
Great.
Send Kudos to Prospect Insider for this Report!

Sadly, I can safely say they will get more in this trade than what they got for Soriano.
when will the madness end…
Never as long as the Bumbling one is the GM.
Hi Jason. Thanks as always for your great site. What does this trade mean? How does a trade for a player to be named later or cash work?
My best guess is that Atlanta gives the M’s a list of players to choose from. The Mariners scout these players and choose….or choose to take nobody and take the agreed upon cash figure. Am I anywhere close?
Oh what they get perhaps depends on how long Norton stays on the Braves roster?
Any insight on this?
That’s pretty much it, skiz.
