The word is its FIVE for ONE! If this is true and Rosenthal is spewing its a possibility how do ya like it now? I hate it 3 for 1 if its 5 for one Bavasi must go and go quickly! Time will tell if this rumor is true i hope not but i bet it is.

Cameron’s reporting it as true as well. If it got to Geoff Baker, it’s a done deal. Baker has become the organization’s mouthpiece for reporting big news.

getting a tad worried - Jason can you ping some people to see what the deal is? The O’s board is saying he thinks the M’s fans will be ticked at the deal - that AM got the better of the deal it seems. Can you get verification that Triunfel is NOT part of the deal?
Also - any update on a Bay trade? I think we all figured these deals would start to go like domino’s once the first one fell. thanks.

geoff baker is saying the deal is done. He spoke with jones and bavasi and thats what they told him.

Be surprised if a deal isn’t announced by Thursday. Don’t be surprised if a deal is announced officially tomorrow afternoon.

But they did remove him once. And he went back in. At the very least, the Mariners believe they are very close.

Still, the latest I’m getting is that McPhail wants a fourth player. Jones-Tillman-Sherrill on the table as the Mariners best and final offer.

Not sure whether the fourth player will happen or not, but it won’t be a premium guy like Triunfel or Clement.

someone over at orioles hangout translated what the announcers were saying and they said jones was completely taken off the roster, that it was a surprise and that it wasnt jones decision to leave.

If Jones was traded over the weekend, we’ll know, probably Monday, but at least by Wednesday or Thursday depending on how long it takes to pass a physical.

And he would not be playing in Venezuela anymore.

I’m crossing my fingers that the Cubs and Orioles bang out a deal for Bedard and Roberts…Then again, that might make Bavasi go into panic move and make a stupid trade Damn I wish this would just end.
