You have no control over teams ahead of or behind you. Name all the GREAT FA signings globally. There aren't many. The FA market is a big risk. But, until the farm system is producing, there is little choice. You have to take risks, either that or over-promote kids who aren't ready. We say the farm system is restocked? Well, unless you have a crystal ball, that's all that can be expected. Nobody knows who's gonna stay healthy, who's going to produce, or who will fail. All you can do is put yourself in a position to succeed. The rest is fate. Yeah, it is a tough business. And, IMO, Bavasi deserves at least one more year to see if he can finish this thing off. He is paid to succeed, and he did. All the great internet minds may not agree, but on paper, he did. Is just as easy to assume he's right and you're wrong....as it is to assume you're right and he's wrong. The very fabric of the organization will not fall apart if he stays....or leaves.
