I did touch his bat. But he went 11 for his next 17 with three homers including a game-tying grand slam off Brad Baker in the bottom of the ninth that very night.

So get up off my back about it!

Maybe I should touch Raul's bat, too.

Jason, be truthful, did you touch his bat?

The rest of you, get your mind out of the gutter. This is an x-thread reference to a conversation Jason had with Snelling during batting practice.

Still got that picture?

Yeah, how about an update on Clement.

I would think that the USSM crowd would be seeing that his secondary skills are still there and that he has had some bad luck, but maybe that just isn't the case.

Dave says from talking to scouts that his bat speed is slower. Are you seeing the same thing?

Also goes on to say that he is DHing more, when in fact, he has caught more in May than in April with both months having caught more than DH.

Also, he's got some huge home/road splits. Are these scouts possibly only seeing Clement in Cheney and not on the road?

What's up? Unlucky? Losing bat speed? Can't catch? Nonsense?

Dave wrote at USSM today that he now sees Clement as being not much more than a possible roleplayer in the big leagues. You've always seemed much more high on him, so I was wondering what your opinion is regarding what Dave wrote.
